KC Certification

The KC certification(safety certification) system certifies the safety of electrical appliances, consumer products, and children’s products regarding the products themselves and their production equipment. The system obligates manufacturers/importers of products recognized to necessitate safety control under the “Electrical Appliances and Consumer Products Safety Control Act” and “Special Act On The Safety Of Children's Products” to confirm the products’ minimum safety requirements for each model via certification, etc. before factory release or customs clearance in order to release the products into the market.
