In accordance with the "Act On Registration And Evaluation Of Chemical Substances," the purpose, reasons for revision, and main contents of the “Results of the hazard review of Chemical Substances” are announced in advance to the public in order to gather opinions, pursuant to Article 46 of the “Administrative Procedures Act”.

Partial Amendment Notice on Notice of Existing Chemical Substances
The Ministry of Environment hereby partially amends and announces the Existing Chemical Substances (No. 2021-23, February 5, 2021) as follows:

The following amendments are made to part of the announcement on Existing Chemical Substances to be amended:

Article 3 is revised as Article 4, and Article 3 is newly added as follows:
Article 3 (Recognition of Existing Chemical Substances)
1. A hydrated or anhydrous of an existing chemical substance;
2. A reaction product composed of two or more components, where all components are existing chemical substances (however, this is limited to cases where the separation of each component within the reaction product is technically difficult and where the reaction product is distributed or handled in the market as a whole);
3. A specific isomer from an existing chemical substance containing two or more isomers;
4. Other chemical substances listed in Appendix 3.
Appendix 3 is newly established as shown in the attached form.

In accordance with Article 14 Paragraph 1 of “Act on Registration, Evaluation, etc. of the Chemical Substances”(“K-REACH”); Article 10 Paragraph 2 Subparagraph 2 Item ‘가’, Article 10 Paragraph 3, Article 24 and Article 28 of the Enforcement Rule of K-REACH; Article 16 Paragraph 1 of the Chemical Substances Control Act; and Article 12 Paragraph 4 of the Enforcement Rule for the Chemical Substances Control Act, regulations regarding details for the classification and labeling of chemical substances and miscellaneous required information have been amended.  [NIER Established Rule No. 812] Operational Regulation for Chemical Substance Test Method Deliberation Committee.

In accordance with Article 3 of “Regulation on Test Methods for Chemical Substances”, this regulation stipulates details on the composition and operation of the Chemical Substance Test Method Deliberation Committee(hereafter referred to as “the Committee”) for the deliberation of enacted/amended regulations on test methods for chemical substances(Enacted 2021.2.16., Established Rule No. 812).
