[NIER Notice No.2023-25] Amendment of “Regulation on Approval, etc. of Household Chemical Products subject to Safety Confirmation” (JUN. 22, 2023)

In accordance with Article 10 Paragraph 6, Article 6 of the Enforcement Decree and Article 6 of the Enforcement Rules of the Consumer Chemical Products And Biocides Safety Control Act, the " Regulations on the Approval of Consumer Chemical Products Subject To Safety Confirmation" are being amended. The purpose and main contents of the amendment are as follows.

“Regulation on Approval, etc. of Household Chemical Products subject to Safety Confirmation”

○ Major Changes

A. It is mandatory to label disinfectants approved for surface use with"Aerial disinfection such as using fumigation, high-pressure spraying, etc. prohibited“
- Statement prohibiting aerial disinfection is added to the 'Instructions for Usage and Dosage' section of [Appendix 1].
B. Elaboration on personal protective clothing for the precautions in the use of disinfectants
- Specification of protective clothing for work purposes among the ‘general precautions’ in the 'Instructions for Usage' section of [Appendix 1]
