[MOE Ordinance No. 960] Partial Amendment of Enforcement Rule of “Consumer Chemical Products And Biocides Safety Control Act”
◇Reasons for amendment and main contents
In order to promptly redress damages caused by the use of defective biocidal products, the Minister of Environment shall be authorized to provide compensation to those who have suffered damages as a result of such use, and to impose and collect a share of the compensation cost on manufacturers or importers of the relevant products. These provisions are in accordance with the amended " Consumer Chemical Products And Biocides Safety Control Act" and its enforcement decree, and aim to establish procedures for applying for compensation for damages caused by biocidal products, criteria and scope for providing compensation for such damages, and procedures for the installment payment of the share of compensation cost
